A young boy celebrating his 6-year miraculous birthday , 2 weeks following liver transplant for acute liver failure
This young champion is the youngest child to undergo successful liver transplantation in Sri Lanka at the age of just 5 months. His mother donated a part of her liver in this life saving surgery
This little hero had a successful battle with life and death and recovered following a liver transplant. He celebrated his 8th birthday with us at M H Omar Liver care facility.

Baby Lyzal, a 7-month-old boy from Batticaloa, underwent a liver transplant due to cirrhosis caused by biliary atresia in June 2025. He was very sick and suffering due to liver disease. His mother volunteered to donate part of her liver.

He had his liver transplant surgery at Ragama, Colombo North Centre for Liver Diseases, and recovered successfully within 3 weeks.

Now the family is in full-blown happiness and ready to enjoy the second chance at life that their lovely son received from his own mother.
